When you book an MRI appointment, keep your doctor's prescription handy. This will allow you to clearly state your request for the examination.

When making your appointment, please inform us if you have any metallic or electronic equipment inside your body (pacemaker, prosthesis, transdermal patch, etc.). In some cases, the examination may be formally contraindicated.

If you are likely to develop an allergy to the contrast agent, inform the person who schedules your appointment. This is because measures can be taken to ensure the examination proceeds smoothly (e.g., prescribing preventative allergy medication ). Furthermore, the use of this type of product is sometimes contraindicated in cases of chronic kidney disease .

If you are pregnant or think you might be (or if you are breastfeeding ), please inform the person you are speaking with. Specific procedures are in place for this situation. As a precaution, MRI scans are generally avoided during the first three months of pregnancy (especially if the scan can be performed after delivery). This minimizes the potential risks to the embryo from exposure to a magnetic field.

Furthermore, please indicate if you suffer from claustrophobia (the inability to tolerate being confined in a small space such as an elevator). The interior of the elevator is well-lit and ventilated, but special precautions will also be taken to prevent any discomfort.
